Willam Faden (1750-1836), The North American Atlas (1777)

Published in London, this atlas is considered important for its treatment of the American Revolutionary War. Regional maps as well as detailed battle plans drawn by eyewitness observers are included in the atlas. The British made use of several of the maps, including "A Plan of Boston Harbor from an Accurate Survey."
