Proportional Symbol Map of the largest stadiums in the United States
This map showcases all of the stadiums in the United States with a capacity greater than 80,000, procured in response to the Geog370 Lab 3 prompt.
The stadiums range from 80,000 (AT&T stadium, Arlington) to 107,601 (Michigan Stadium, Ann Arbor).
The color of the symbol and the text is merely nominal, signifying the colors of the primary team that plays in that specific stadium.
The inspiration for this map comes from my interest in sports and sports infrastructure. In doing the research for this project, I was also surprised to see two stadiums in the state of Wisconsin being represented, which solidified my interest in the topic.
