Department receives grant for undergraduate professional development

The Geography Department has received a grant from the UW Career Development Grant Program to provide a professional development activities for Geography and Cartography/GIS majors. Tentative dates and activities planned this semester are as follows:

Friday, March 11 – Personal goals and interviewing workshop
Friday, April 1 – Resume and cover letter workshop
Friday, April 15 – Mock interviews with various alumni and community partners

In an effort to gauge interest and availability at these sessions, coordinators Tanya Buckingham and Joel Gruely ask student to fill out this two-question survey.

The Career Development Grant Program is a joint effort by the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA) and the College of Letters and Science (L&S) to support professional development opportunities for undergraduate students.
