Determine the least costly school bus routes for the new Waunakee High
School location.
The village of Waunakee has recently decided to build a new high school
due to overcrowding in the current high school and middle school. The
location of this new building is far enough away from the old building
that current bus routes can not be used. We are proposing to determine
the least costly bus routes for this new school location. In order to
do this we will be meeting with school board members and the owner of
the bus company in order to determine the best new routes to the
school. We will take into account the zone around the school not
needing bus service. Our determining factors will be time spent on the
bus by students, the maximum and minimum number of kids on each bus, the
number of buses needed, and the number of stops required by each bus.
