Title: Graduate Program Manager for GISPP

Start Date: March 11th, 2024

Can you tell us more about your path to UW-Madison and your new role in GISPP?

I first came to UW-Madison as a graduate student in the Global Higher Education program. I had such a great experience that I knew I wanted to eventually work on campus in a professional position. But after graduating, I moved to Florida Atlantic University where I worked with English as a Second Language students before returning to UW. Most recently, I was the graduate program manager for a PhD program on campus, which led me to my new position with GISPP.

What excites you most about being a Graduate Program Manager for the GIS Professional Programs?

I’m excited to be a part of the team and to learn more about the field. I also love working with students, so I’m looking forward to getting to know them and learning about their experience in the program.

Is there something interesting you would like to share about the GIS Professional Programs?

There are so many options within the GIS Professional Programs! We offer programs both in-person and online, master’s degrees and certificates. The curriculum is also tailored to meet the needs of students while using the latest technology. GISPP is a great fit for students just getting into the field or those who are looking to advance their skills.

What are some things you are looking forward to doing in Madison/on campus?

I have been on campus for a while, but I am really excited about being back on this side of Bascom! I look forward to spending time at the terrace and exploring more of Science Hall.

Are there fun hobbies or other interests you have?

I really enjoy exploring our state parks, hiking, camping, and kayaking!
