Map Chat with Daniel Huffman | March 12

It’s that time again—time for our monthly speaker series, Map Chat, to bring you something fresh and interesting from the world of cartography & GIS. On Wednesday, March 12 at 1:30 p.m. Central time, join us via Zoom or meet us in the Cartography Lab in Science Hall (room 250).

In a talk titled “Wandering into Terrain: How Side Projects Keep me Going,” freelance cartographer Daniel Huffman will explore how a side project grew out of control and unexpectedly ended up leading to new techniques for representing terrain. We’ll also discuss the importance of continued professional growth through these sorts of projects.
