Map Chat with Geog 578 & 778 Students

To wrap up this semester, a special Map Chat treat: get a glimpse at some very current work from GISPP students! Students from Geog 578 – GIS Applications and Geog 778 – Practicum in GIS Development (aka the culmination of a GISPP student’s study) will present their semester-long projects, lightning talk-style. On December 10 at 2 p.m. Central time, join us via Zoom to see the types of projects are students are working on right now.

About Geog 578 & Geog 778

Geog 578 is all about learning how to conceptualize and implement a GIS project from start to finish; it’s a little bit about the programming but a whole lot more about the process.

Geog 778 is the culmination of our online and in-person master’s curriculum. Students in this class take all the knowledge they’ve gained from our program and fuse it with personal, real-world subject matter. End result? Every 778 student proves that they can conceive and solve real-world programming problems and provide GIS application support independently, and they walk out of the classroom (or home office) with a portfolio piece they can talk about with pride.
