Tuition

Accelerated/Non-Thesis Master’s Program

  • Tuition beginning in Fall 2025: Each credit will have a flat rate of $900. The cost per course will depend on the total number of credits each course is. A 3 credit course will cost $2,700 and a 4 credit course will cost $3,600. The cost of the entire program cost is dependent on the total number of credits taken while enrolled in the program.
  • Tuition through Summer 2024: Each credit will have a flat rate of $800.

In addition to tuition, a segregated fee is charged per credit for various student services. More information on segregated fees can be found through the Office of the Registrar. This fee applies to all tuition scenarios mentioned above.

Online Capstone Certificate Programs and Online Master’s Program

We are currently working toward discontinuing our online certificates and degree programs. We anticipate that admissions will be suspended beginning with the Summer 2025 semester. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Financial Aid

GIS Professional Programs students are eligible for federal student aid. For more information on how to apply, please visit the UW Office of Student Financial Aid.

GISPP does not have any scholarship opportunities. However, UW-Madison’s Division of Continuing Studies has a number of scholarships. For more information, visit https://acsss.wisc.edu/scholarships/.

ADDITIONAL POLICY

Students in GIS Professional Programs are not permitted to accept graduate assistantships or other appointments that would result in a tuition waiver.

Students cannot enroll in other graduate programs or take courses outside the prescribed curriculum.
