Map Chat with Howard Veregin | October 23

Our monthly speaker series, Map Chat, kicks off this semester with Wisconsin State Cartographer Howard Veregin! On October 23, 2024 at noon Central time, join us via Zoom or meet us in the Cartography Lab in Science Hall (room 250).

In a talk titled “Euler Poles, Hinge Lines and the New National Spatial Reference System,” Howard will tell you what you need to know about the transition from NAD 83 and NAVD 88 to NATRF2022 and NAPGD2022. If that topic sounds pretty technical—it is! It’s also kind of a big deal, and being part of GISPP means being in the know about big-deal changes in the GIS world.
