Prof. Ian Baird has been awarded a one-semester “Race, Ethnicity, and Indigeneity (REI) Fellowship” at the Institute for Research in the Humanities, UW-Madison for the Spring 2015 semester.

Ian will attend a weekly seminar next fall organized by fellows at the Institute and relieved of teaching and other duties in the following spring to allow him to focus on his research related to the growth of “Indigenous Peoples” movements in various countries in Southeast Asia.
