Attention all students currently enrolled in the in-person accelerated master’s in Cartography & GIS or the online master’s in GIS Development: fellowship applications for the Fall 2025 semester are now OPEN.
The GISPP Fellowship Program gives students an opportunity to gain hands-on, practical experience in cartography and GIS and expand their professional network through paid hourly positions in the Department of Geography. The fellowships place students in positions with the Wisconsin State Cartographer’s Office, the Robinson Map Library, or the UW Cartography Lab where they can build workforce-ready skills by handling unique real-world projects and problems, potentially performing GIS work in cartographic production, archiving, data integration, technical consulting, and more.
Check your email or the GISPP Slack for additional information.
Applications should be emailed to Joel Gruley (jgruley@wisc.edu) by August 19.
