Daven Howard is a Technical Support Specialist in the GNP IT (Geography, Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, Planning & Landscape Architecture) team of L&S Information Technology Services. He joined the team in September 2023.
Prior to UW-Madison, Daven had worked in IT at UnityPoint Health-Meriter since early 2017. He moved to Madison from the Milwaukee area, where he had worked in IT at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Cardinal Stritch University before that. Daven earned a BA in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Ripon College.
Daven lives with his partner Patti (also a university employee) and their two dogs. Outside of IT work, Daven is also a long-time sports public address announcer and roller derby official.
