Research Areas:

Eolian and hillslope geomorphology, loess stratigraphy/sedimentology, soils and paleosols, Quaternary landscape evolution, Quaternary paleoenvironments of the Midwest, the Great Plains and northern China

Current Research:

Soil response to vegetation change across the prairie-forest boundary. Vulnerability of buried soil organic matter to disturbance and climate change. Evolution of aeolian landscapes. Response of dune fields in northern China to past, present, and future environmental change. Data from completed projects from completed projects is here.
